Media accreditation for the FIFA Fan Fest™ in Kazan was carried out only subject to presenting a valid passport and one of the enlisted documents:

media accreditation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™,
city press centre accreditation ,
Team site pass for media as a member of national football associations participating in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ that had not received the FIFA accreditation.

To access the FIFA Fan Fest™, media representatives had to receive an additional pass in the FIFA Fan Fest™ Accreditation Centre and sign Rules and Conditions of visiting the FIFA Fan Fest™.

  • 1 June – 11 June 10:00 – 18:00 
  • 12 June – 15 July 10:00 – 20:30 

In order to collect media passes to the FIFA Fan Fest, media representatives had to show a passport and valid accreditation (see the paragraph above).

 
 

 

To ensure the most efficient and convenient work of media and broadcasting representatives, the following services were provided:

1) Media Working Area

The Media Working Area represented a temporary pavilion of 225 m2, consisting of:

information desk;
media workroom;
lockers for photo equipment;
lounge zone.

Period of operation: daily from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
Opening hours: The Media Working Area began its work two hours prior to the first match of a day.

2) Platform for photo and video cameras

The platform had a capacity for at least 10 photographers and 6 camera people. To get access to the platform, accredited media representatives had to reserve a spot on the media platform and also at camera positions in one of the following ways:

  • by filling in an application form and emailing it to  (Only questions related to media operations at the FIFA Fan Fest™ in Kazan were considered),
  • by submitting an application form at the information desk in the Media Working Area. The call for applications ended two hours before each match.

Media rights licensees were provided with privileged access to positions on the media platform.

Access to the platform was given only to those wearing a special vest.

3) On-stage camera positions

There were camera positions located in the stage area. To get access to the on-stage positions, accredited media representatives had to leave a request at the information desk in the Media Working Area.

Access to the on-stage camera positions was given only to those wearing a special vest and accompanied by a media operation manager.

4) Interview zone

There was an interview zone located on the stage. To get access to this zone, accredited media representatives had to leave a request at the information desk in the Media Working Area. Access was given only to those wearing a special vest and accompanied by a media operation manager.

5) Broadcast compound

The broadcast compound was located next to the Media Working Area.
To get access to the broadcast compound, media representatives had to fill in the application form and email it to (Only questions related to media operations at the FIFA Fan Fest™ in Kazan were considered).
In order to get access to the Festival, representatives of broadcasting companies (including drivers) had to have valid media accreditation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ or city press centre accreditation. Based on one of these accreditations, they got an additional pass in the FIFA Fan Fest™ accreditation centre.

A dining area was organised in close vicinity to the Media Working Area, where media representatives were able to purchase hot and cold appetizers, and drinks. 

You could pay with a card, cash or PayPass. In case of payments with cash, only Russian rubles were accepted.

Press Cafe worked every day during the opening hours of the FIFA Fan Fest™.

The use of the radio electronic devices (RED) on the territory of the Russian Federation was governed by the existing legislation of the Russian Federation and regulatory documents in the areas of communication. To use the RED on the territory of the FIFA Fan Fest™, all holders of the RED had to  receive a mandatory license to use radio frequencies and radio frequency channels.

In the absence of the license it was mandatory to contact the organising committee in advance by applying to including in the Copy field.

In case a user possessed the license on a permanent basis, this license had to be also sent to the above mentioned emails. The RED included a wide range of radio electronic devices used for any aim. Major types of the devices are enlisted below. In accordance with the Regulations on examination of possibility of the use of the declared RED and their electromagnetic compatibility with existing and planned RED, radio frequencies and radio-frequency channels dedication within a given radio frequency band registered by the State Commission on Radio Frequencies № 11-13-02 on 20 December 2011, the next types of the RED require a mandatory license to use radio frequencies and radio frequency channels and to access the FIFA Fan Fest™ venue:

  • fixed wireless lines;
  • mobile wireless communications;
  • fixed satellite communication terminals;
  • news satellite communication sets;
  • land mobile radio stations including embedded radio devices;
  • wireless video cameras;
  • in-ear monitors;
  • translation devices;
  • telemetry and remote control systems;
  • wireless mics;
  • broadband wireless radio access points.

 

The RED used without restriction:

  • mobile network operators' stations;
  • radio hearing aid for persons with hearing impairments;
  • remote control key fobs of radio controlled car alarms;
  • subscriber devices for wireless access based on Wi-Fi including those built-in or incorporated into other devices;
  • Bluetooth radioelectronic devices including those built-in or incorporated into other devices.

The use of the RED on the territory of the FIFA Fan Fest™ without the license processed with due diligence was prohibited.

Accredited media representatives were entitled to carry in the professional equipment only when passing through the checkpoint for accredited persons. It was prohibited to carry the professional equipment when passing through the checkpoint for spectators.
The professional equipment did not require any additional accreditation.

The parking zones were not provided at the territory of the FIFA Fan Fest. We recommended using means of public transport or municipal parkings.

During the preparation and staging of the Festival, media and broadcasting representatives were provided with information support on issues related to accreditation and media services via a common mailbox: (Only questions related to media operations at the FIFA Fan Fest™ in Kazan were considered).
